National Dentist Day 2019: Get to Know Dr. Babb!

Dr. Babb believes that dentistry should feel personalized and genuine. That’s why he does his best to get to know everyone who walks through the door on a personal level and to develop meaningful relationships with patients throughout the years. For National Dentist’s Day, our team wants to help you get to know Dr. Babb:‍

What’s your favorite thing about being a dentist?

I love interacting with patients and being able to crack a few jokes. Making people smile and laugh is always the best feeling. I also love watching a patient’s personality and confidence transform after their treatment if it is a more complex restorative or cosmetic case.  

What do you like to do outside of the office?

I love to spend time with my wife and two sons. My hobbies include reading books, shooting guns, fantasy football, and playing Mahjong solitaire. When it’s nice outside, you can find me on the lake water skiing and tubing with my family.

Why did you decide to become a dentist?  

I was born and raised right here in Louisiana, and as a kid, I always enjoyed going to the dentist. In fact, I never realized that some people fear dental appointments until I got to dental school.  I earned my DDS from the Louisiana School of Dentistry, and I’ve spent the last decade gaining experience in a lot of different settings, including federal and state offices as well as private practices. I’m excited to finally open my own practice in my hometown.‍
